Alan Nevin
Director of Economic Research Also serves as Chief
Economist for the California Building Industry Association, CBIA.
Mr. Nevin is considered the “Dean of Real Estate Feasibility
Research” in Southern California. His 30-year background in
demographic and economic research places him among the educational
and analytical leaders in his field. He has been on the Marketpointe
Realty Advisors team for 10 years.
Mr. Nevin brings an extensive background in litigation support,
business valuations, demographic and economic forecasting, and real
estate development and investment analysis to the MarketPointe team.
Mr. Nevin’s particular specialty at MarketPointe Realty Advisors
is market and financial feasibility studies of residential and commercial
projects, including rental housing, condominiums, office, retail,
hotel and industrial developments.
Previous to his association with MarketPointe Realty Advisors,
Mr. Nevin served as Senior Vice President of the Sanford Goodkin
Research Corporation, Director of Real Estate Research for HomeFed
Bank, and Director of Research for ConAm Asset Management Corporation,
one of the nation’s largest apartment property management
and development firms. Mr. Nevin holds advanced degrees from Stanford
and American University. He is a senior advisor for real estate
programs at the UC San Diego Extension program, and is a founding
member of the UCSD Economics Roundtable.
